The Media, Youth, & Health Lab at the University of Michigan generates research on emotional, behavioral, and physical outcomes of young people's interaction with mass media.
The lab's director is Kristen Harrison, PhD, Professor of Communication Studies and Head of the Media Psychology Program at the Research Center for Group Dynamics (RCGD) at the Institute for Social Research. Dr. Harrison has been studying children and media since 1992.
Most of the lab's research is conducted offsite in daycares, preschools, and schools. We also have use of the lab facilities on the 7th floor of North Quad at the University of Michigan.
